Understanding CGPA (In Simple Words)

CGPA means Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is your overall score across all semesters. Each subject has credits (weight) and a grade point (quality). Subjects with more credits affect the result more.

SGPA is the average for one semester. CGPA combines all semesters using a weighted average.

Formula for SGPA: SGPA = (Σ Credits × Grade Point) ÷ (Σ Credits)

Formula for CGPA: Add the totals of all semesters.
CGPA = (Σ all semesters of Credits × Grade Point) ÷ (Σ all semesters of Credits)
