How to Use

Understanding Percentage (Simple)

Percentage tells how much you scored out of the total, scaled to 100.

Single test formula: Percentage = (Obtained / Total) x 100

Many tests formula (this tool uses this): sum the marks first, then calculate once.
Overall Percentage = (Σ Obtained / Σ Total) x 100

This gives a fair result because bigger tests (with more marks) have more weight.
